Just 14 days to go before the first Exam Technique and Revision Workshop! This first one is all about the stats - and the methods we use to investigate human behaviour! I find it fascinating - and at the end of the workshop, I'm sure you will too!! I view these exam questions as an easy way to achieve top marks - because you either know it or you don't - so, if you can get on top of it, it's an easy way to bump up your grade so as to balance out weaker areas, like the essay writing. Let the countdown begin! :D
With just two weeks to go for the first workshop, things are getting pretty busy! Please note that due to schools having different Easter holiday dates this year, I have had to move three of the workshops: 'Writing Imaginatively and Creatively' and 'Writing for Audience, Impact and Purpose' will now be held on the same day - Sunday, the 9th April, and 'English Literature GCSE - Unseen Poetry and Anthology' will now be on Wednesday the 12th April. Please contact me for further details, as bookings are now being confirmed for these intensive small group workshops.
All the best with your revision - you're almost there! :D
It's that wonderful time of year again, when we get to share our favourite books!
While I absolutely love reading, I'm not a great fan of fiction, so when a fiction book comes along that keeps me interested, then I get excited! One such book is 'A Year of Marvellous Ways' by Sarah Winman. It has beautiful descriptions and a clever plot. In fact, I actually want to read it over again to really take everything in!
What's your favourite book? :)
