These are coming along nicely. Well done to those people whose personal statements I've seen - you've been really busy, but it's so worth it! :) Onwards and upwards to the next stage, which is getting those target grades for your exams in January - yes, they're not too far away! I will be doing the Exam Technique Workshops in English and Psychology again in December/ beginning of January, as well as in the Easter Holidays, for those who want to practise their techniques. And when you hear about Offers (!), there's Interview Coaching for those who want to learn how to dazzle! :D Have a great Monday!
My apologies to those students whose lessons I had to cancel yesterday; I was at a writers' workshop in London, organised by the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook. It was highly stimulating and very motivating - led by two published authors and an editor. And guess what? - in order to get our creative juices flowing, we were asked to do precisely what I've been teaching my students to do regarding techniques on using figurative language, stimuli for writing, etc. To use Shakespeare's words (in 'Hamlet') - there is a method to my madness! Enjoy the day, everyone - it's FRiDAY, and you've survived the first week back! :)
Good morning! Just an update about some exciting news that will benefit everyone with children aged Year 9 - Year 11. With our current competitive market, it is very difficult to gain places at university and in the work place; however, by planning ahead of time, it is easier to attain your aspirations. I will, therefore, be introducing a free advice sheet for parents of children in the above age groups, so that they can plan ahead, and when the time comes, make their personal statements ones that will 'do the job' and get them those coveted places. Ask me if you have any queries. :)
Welcome back, everyone, to a shiny, new academic year! :) It's good to see you all again. Most people have settled their tuition classes now, and apart from a few last minute changes, all has gone pretty well. A huge thank you to all those who met the deadline for Class Preferences back in August - it was a huge help! Do remember that timing for lesson scheduling follows the same pattern each year, so if you have not heard from me throughout the summer, you might have dropped off the email list (as it is very long), so you need to contact me to check what you have missed. Please check the updated timetable and contact me asap if there are any problems. I have tried to meet everyone's requests as much as possible
As you will see, there are a few spaces remaining in Group classes only, and I am free to see older students during the day - either for Psychology or English, or general coaching.
A Happy and Healthy New Year, everyone, and may the sun keep shining! :)
Hello, everyone. It's been an incredibly busy morning with students returning from their holidays and new students enquiring about tuition! I am still finalising the timetable and making minor adjustments where necessary in order to accommodate everybody. Do please keep checking the timetable if you are looking for availability, as it is subject to daily change at the moment. This does not affect those classes that have been confirmed already. I would also be grateful to receive testimonials from any past or present students, which can be added to this website. Please email accordingly. As I write, the sun is pouring through the window, which can only be good news for the start of the autumn term! Feast and enjoy! :)
